November Is ...
November is a month of drastic changes. The trees lose the rest of their leaves and the lakes start to freeze over. Bye now we've gotten into the habit of always grabbing a coat before running outside, even if it's just for a few minutes. This is the month we harden ourselves and toughen up for the long cold winter ahead.
We Minnesotan's may not all love the winter, but we learn to live with it... and for me, as long as the promise of spring is ahead I can bear it! The warm holidays of Thanksgiving and Christmas are always a delight. I love the first real snowfall and enjoy the beauty of nature, but as you know by late January I'm already looking forward to spring! I'm prepared though! I have my nice cozy throws ready to curl up with my kitty, a hot cup of tea and a book!
So here we go, bring it on, I'm ready! 🍁 Diane

Oh yes, winter's icy fingers are starting to close around our throats here in Canada too. I'm looking forward to Christmas already.
ReplyDeleteThose southerners don't know what they're missing!
DeleteLove those words from Marion Conger …
ReplyDeleteNovember in my part of the UK has started quite rainy and grey. I much prefer bright sunshine and frost, with Autumn leaves crunching beneath my feet … but never mind, it's only the first day of the month!
I wish you a good month ahead.
All the best Jan
Thanks Jan. Hope you get a bit of sunshine to brighten your days ahead!
DeleteNot my favourite month but it does bring us closer to Christmas, which I always love. Wishing you a wonderful month ahead!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you there! November can be just an ugly month. Everything has frozen but not covered by snow so it's just blah. We here have Thanksgiving to look forward too though!
DeleteI love Fall, but November in here is so grey and cold! Have a lovely day ☺
ReplyDeleteSame here, by the weekend our temperatures will feel like January! Thanks for visiting!
DeleteI'm ready too!!! Actually, we had some major snow and now it's all gone! LOL! But, I know it will be back soon! Can't wait for Christmas! Big Hugs!!
ReplyDeleteWe've had the same here Stacy. A bit of snow and then it warms and melts away. I always look forward to the snowfall in December around Christmas. Hope we get some this year!
DeleteFall is okay because of the bright colors, Thanksgiving and Veterans Day, but bring in the cold of Winter, please(lol) I visited Minnesota once and loved it. As much as I love the cold weather, I always end up living in states with milder weather, with the exception of North Dakota for 3 years.(lol) I really like your header! Hugs, RO
ReplyDeleteOh goodness! North Dakota can be much colder than where we live here in what is called 'southern' Minnesota! Thanks a bunch for visiting!
