Happy Valentine's Week! We are still enduring unusually cold weather but the red hearts of Valentine's Day help bring some warmth to the season.
The image below is from a sweet book called "The Valentine Cat", written by Clyde Robert Bulla and illustrated by Leonard Weisgard. It lasted in my shop a week before it sold. If you look closely, the back kitten has a white heart shaped spot on his head. Such a cute book! I hope it makes the new owner very happy.
This time of year I drink hot tea most of the time to warm up. Every now and then though, nothing hits the spot like hot chocolate. Brings back memories of my Mom having it ready for us kids when we came in from playing in the snow!
Here's my own Valentine cat, Guy, enjoying the snow on a slightly warmer winter day!
Stay safe and warm out there!
Enjoy your week friends, hope you all have a wonderful Valentine's Day!
💕💕 Diane 💕💕
Dear Diane it has been a little while since I visited. So good to see you are surviving the winter...it certainly has been a bit wild. Guy is looking good in the snow. Your vintage book is adorable. Happy Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteThanks Debbie!
DeleteHappy Valentines Week! Love that photo of the marshmallows in the hot chocolate. And of course, I always enjoy seeing photos of that darling Guy Noir!
ReplyDeleteThanks Debra, the hot chocolate photo is from a cooking blog on Tumblr. She always posts great stuff! Guy Noir is really getting tired of being cooped up in the house all day! I try to take him out a couple times a day even if it's only for a few minutes.
DeleteHappy Valentine's week to you! I love seeing photos of Guy Noir. I remember when he was just a tiny little thing. The years go by so quickly. And that photo of the hot chocolate is amazing!
ReplyDeleteHi Martha! Thanks so much for stopping in. Guy is such a big boy now but he still loves hugs and cuddles!
DeleteWishing you a wonderful and Happy Valentine's week.
ReplyDeleteLove your photographs, especially Guy in the snow.
All the best Jan
Thanks so much Jan! My kitties are not always too cooperative during picture taking. Glad you enjoyed the overview of him covered in snowflakes!
DeleteI hope you had a great Valentine's Day Diane! I love your post! I love that picture of Guy! That book is so cute! I love the idea of the cut out marshmallow. My friend, thanks for the e-mail. I have been reading up for the past few days about Etsy might have been hacked?? Please watch yourself! Big Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThank you Stacy! Hope you had a great day too! I read on the Etsy forums from Etsy Admin. that they had been doing updates and making changes and it was a technical glitch that only effected a few sellers. It is a big deal for some of them and I hope it's been fixed by now. Luckily nothing amiss in my shop.
DeleteHey Diane, Happy to see you still blog now and then also. We have lost so many bloggers! Can't believe Guy likes the snow...and he looks so handsome in snowflakes!
ReplyDeleteStay Warm, March is coming!
Thanks Pam, yes I've been trying to post every now and then. So many people have moved over to Instagram, at least I get to stay in touch with them over there!
DeleteThanks for the sweet post!
ReplyDeleteHello RK, glad to see you posting again! Thanks for visiting.
