Summertime!

Our spring flew bye! We had unexpected guests! Relatives from Sweden stayed with us for a couple of weeks in May. We of course had to do non-stop spring cleaning to get ready and then with the touring and hosting, it seems that the garden got away from me. I feel like I'm just now catching up!

I was going through a bin of books I'd picked up last year at an estate sale and came across an old Mother Goose book, dated 1929. The image above was taken from the book. I haven't had time to list it in my shop yet, but I did post a few images to Instagram the other day.

I think this is such a sweet little poem. If you are out at night on the 24th of June, maybe you too will see the fairies dance beneath the moon!

Welcome Summer!

  2. Hi Diane, so good to see you post! I think this is a busy season for many of us, as I've also been missing as well as lots of bloggers I follow. Oh the garden is such a time thief, but we love our gardens!

    Sweet poem and image. :)

    1. Thank Pam, nice to see you here! I've decided that the only way I can keep blogging is to keep my posts fairly short with only a couple of images. With all the other Social Media and trying to run my shop I just don't have the time for everything! I'm ready to move into a condo where everything outside is done for you, gardening is just getting to be a chore!

  7. Hi Diane! Miss you my friend! I hope the rest of the summer, you can rest and enjoy your fur babies!! I've been trying to "pin" things on pinterest and heart things on Etsy, when I remember! LOL! I still want to get on to Instagram. I know you said, I didn't need a phone for that. I might bother you again, for help! LOL! I love the image and the poem!! Big Hugs My Friend!

  8. Dear Diane - I sure have been missing your posts. This poem is so sweet. I will have to say I am late reading this - so didn't know to go looking for those fairies on the 24th of June! Hope you get caught up and have a wonderful week friend. Hugs!

  9. Hi Diane,

Good heavens, by the time I got here, we're well into July.

How nice to have relatives come over from Sweden!

I can so relate to the poem. My old enchanted garden was full of magical fairies and other wee folks.

    Thank you for this, Diane.

    Gary :)
