Shhhh! Sleeping Angels!

A Service of Song
Some keep the Sabbath going to church
I keep it staying at home,
With a bobolink for a chorister,
And an orchard for a dome.

Some keep the Sabbath in surplice;
I just wear my wings,
And instead of tolling the bell for church,
Our little sexton sings.

God preaches, ---a noted clergyman,
And the sermon is never long;
So instead of getting to heaven at last,
I'm going all along!

~~~Emily Dickinson
Early Morning
Angels in the early morning
May be seen the dews among,
Stooping, plucking, smiling, flying:
Do the buds to them belong?
Angels when the sun is hottest
May be seen the sands among,
Stooping, plucking, sighing, flying;
Parched the flowers they bear along.
~~~ Emily Dickinson

Hello Friends... I found this wee angel sleeping in my garden a few days ago. He must have been worn out from all his tasks, because he didn't even notice when I snapped his picture! The kitties also wanted to 'Thank You' for all your sweet comments last week.

I hope everyone has a blessed and magical week! ~ Diane

  1. Those litter angels certainly work hard. A little nap is a great way to re-energize.

    Have a wonderful Sunday, and a great week ahead!
