Guy's Giveaway Number Three

Guy is back again this week with more news and photos of our wild Minnesota weather.  Old man winter will not let us go and visited again with the biggest snowfall of the season!

When we woke up this morning this is what greeted us. The mallards were in the yard looking for bird seed and seemed a bit bewildered by the depth of the snow.  In the distance the lake has frozen over again and is mostly covered with snow.  Closer to the edge the snow and lake water have turned to slush.  We have about nine inches of fresh snow and thankfully with the warmer temperatures it should be gone in a few days.

Lets get to the Giveaway! I drew a name out of my winter fleece hat and the winner of the Little Yellow Chicks is Stacy. Check out her blog and Etsy shop Magic Love Crow.  Congratulations to the winner and thanks to everyone that entered.

Here is your next chance to win. This is a pretty embroidered towel I did and I would love to share it with one of you.  Leave a comment and let me know if you are interested in receiving the towel and I will pick one winner and post it next week.  Any mention of my blog or shop on your social media is appreciated by not required.  The only requirement is that you follow my blog.

Good luck to everyone and have a wonderful weekend!

  1. Not quite the kind of April Showers you were expecting! Still, it looks beautiful and little Guy is certainly enjoying it. It must be great fun watching him! I don't do any of the social media stuff, but I think your little embroidered towel is pretty and I am a follower!

  2. Oh my word! It really seems so unfair for you to still be putting up with that weather...it's almost May! So sorry for you, but have to say Guy Noir (love his name) looks quite handsome in the snow. Beautiful embroidery, please throw my name in the hat! :)

  3. Wow! That is a lot of snow for this time of year. But it does make for gorgeous photos. And little Guy looks so cute out there. Still. I do hope it melts for you very soon, and the spring flowers start to emerge. And please throw my name in there for that pretty towel. Thank you for another lovely opportunity!

  4. Yes, I'll throw my hat in the ring for Guy's latest draw! My Mom used to make flour sack tea towels all the time when I was a kid. My Grandma would embroider them with similar patterns as the one you've used -- she was always looking for something to keep her hands busy.

  6. Your snow pictures are just beautiful. I wish I could play in the snow more. I don't see it that often where I live.

Thank you for adding me to your google circle. I'm not sure what that is, and me and the girls don't have that on our blog, but I appreciate it so much that you thought of me.

Have a nice weekend, and enjoy your snow while it lasts.

  8. I don't have any social media but it is very nice! My stepmom had used snow to keep the half and half when her fridge broke (she is in Eden Prairie.)

  9. Dear Diane - winter is certainly not letting you go. Your pour ducks are surely bewildered by the weather. Your pictures of the snow are awesome. It looks like you live in a gorgeous part of the country. Hope you will soon be showing us spring's signs. You and Guy Noir snuggle in and stay safe. Have a great week.
