A Splendid Sunrise

A splendid sunrise to start the day. These colors only lasted about
fifteen minutes and then they were gone.

  5. Beautiful shots - I love the texture of the clouds in the second one. Those magical sunrises and sunsets are always short, that's one of the things that makes them special.

  9. Thanks everyone! Squirrel Qn, it was a happy accident. It was early, I think the day after Christmas and to get this picture I grabbed my camera and ran into the back yard, it was around 7 AM and I was in my robe and slippers! That is as far as our patio goes into the yard without the neighbors really being able to see me!If I had gotten dressed by the time I got out there I would have missed it!

  10. Really beautiful photos - the colours are sublime! I always think it is brilliant to be able to capture something as fleeting as this. All too often I don't have my camera close by when I need it for this kind of shot. What a lovely peaceful looking place you live in!
