How Is Your New Year Going So Far...

Are you a bit like Dotty?

Now that the holidays are over are you feeling a bit let down or even bored?
Feeling a little of those post holiday blues?

Are you feeling a little tired because you were working so hard
to get everything done throughout the holidays?

Maybe you are a little more irritable than usual? Oooh, and maybe
a bit of indigestion (not to mention pounds) from all those extra treats!

You didn't go out on New Years Eve and celebrate too much, did you!!

Maybe you are already tired of winter.
Let's think about a nice warm vacation spot for a moment.
***sunshine  warm***sandy beach***ocean breeze***umbrella drink***mmm nice.....

Here is how Dot handles her stressful life.
(Bye the way, she does this on her own.)

Haven't we all done this at least once!
Time to relax friends and get back to our regular routines.
Don't hide under your blanket too long. We have another whole year to try and get
everything done that we want to get done. Another whole year to enjoy and have fun
and make the most of what we have. But I know we all have days like this so do what
makes you feel better and hope for better days ahead.

Oh baby it's cold outside!
Dotty can hardly wait for spring!

What makes you feel better? Is it reading a book, hanging out with
friends and family, cooking, crafting, going for a walk? All of the above!

  1. AW..your kitty is so beautiful and sweet! Beautiful photos..totally fab!!! I am relaxing...and creating and painting..it makes me feel blissful! Also feeding birdies outside and dreaming of summer! yes..all of the above!
    Have a magical day!

  2. Well I hate to rub it in but we are in the middle of summer heat and I love it. Mind you when it gets real hot I sometimes wish I had a spot like Dotty where I can snuggle up and be warm rather than constantly trying to keep cool. We always seem to want what we don't have! Love Dotty TFS

  3. Dotty is so cute relaxing on her blanket. I love the way cats like to hid under things but usually leave their tails hanging out.

We are having an unusual winter, no snow and almost springtime weather. I relax by working in my yard which I have been doing for the past week.

  4. I like chillin out and watching a fun movie. Enjoy your week!

  5. I think Dotty has the right idea! I take a lot of hot baths and either read or watch movies to get through the limbo that is January and February :)

  6. Well the weather has warmed again for a bit and Dotty came out from under her blanket. We went out for a walk around the yard and we both feel much better getting some fresh air. Let's have a great week!

Thanks friends! ~ Diane and Dotty

  7. Isn't she delightful!! I just love her trick with the blanket - just how I feel when I have yo get up on these dark days and go to work.

I've always thought if I had a choice I'd like to be a cat in a good home!

  8. I used to have a lovely cat just like Dotty. His name was Magic Kitty. I had him for 20 years and although he left us over ten years ago, I still miss him.

  9. Oops- didn't mean to be a downer : )

My New Year is going well. I think I will do some yoga and a nice bubble bath sounds great!

  10. Thanks everyone! It's OK Kathleen, I know how you feel. See my post on Black Cat Awareness that I did in Oct.

Dotty and I had another great day here and walking and sitting around the yard was fun. She only wanted to come in when she heard the trash collector truck coming down the street! ~~ Diane

  11. Now I know why you liked the cat on Famiglia This & That. Your cat looks so much like my Smokey.

  12. I'm with Dotty! She looks so comfy and cozy!

  13. what a cute cat!!!! I'm relaxing by catching up on my blog reading.
