Our spring flew bye! We had unexpected guests! Relatives from Sweden stayed with us for a couple of weeks in May. We of course had to do non-stop spring cleaning to get ready and then with the touring and hosting, it seems that the garden got away from me. I feel like I'm just now catching up!
I was going through a bin of books I'd picked up last year at an estate sale and came across an old Mother Goose book, dated 1929. The image above was taken from the book. I haven't had time to list it in my shop yet, but I did post a few images to Instagram the other day.
I think this is such a sweet little poem. If you are out at night on the 24th of June, maybe you too will see the fairies dance beneath the moon!
Welcome Summer!
~~Diane~~
I love the image and text, Diane, and of course the music as well! A 1929 book? Wow, what a treasure you found!
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda, it's always a pleasure to hear from you!
DeleteHi Diane, so good to see you post! I think this is a busy season for many of us, as I've also been missing as well as lots of bloggers I follow. Oh the garden is such a time thief, but we love our gardens!
ReplyDeleteSweet poem and image. :)
Thank Pam, nice to see you here! I've decided that the only way I can keep blogging is to keep my posts fairly short with only a couple of images. With all the other Social Media and trying to run my shop I just don't have the time for everything! I'm ready to move into a condo where everything outside is done for you, gardening is just getting to be a chore!
DeleteThat's a nice poem and illustration.
ReplyDeleteHopefully the rest of your summer will be quieter and more restful!
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely poem! Enjoy the summer, which will hopefully be a peaceful one.
ReplyDeleteHi Diane, having visitors is always lovely but it does eat up the time. I'm enjoying all your pics on IG and love this poem. Have a super week xx
ReplyDeleteHi Diane! Miss you my friend! I hope the rest of the summer, you can rest and enjoy your fur babies!! I've been trying to "pin" things on pinterest and heart things on Etsy, when I remember! LOL! I still want to get on to Instagram. I know you said, I didn't need a phone for that. I might bother you again, for help! LOL! I love the image and the poem!! Big Hugs My Friend!
ReplyDeleteDear Diane - I sure have been missing your posts. This poem is so sweet. I will have to say I am late reading this - so didn't know to go looking for those fairies on the 24th of June! Hope you get caught up and have a wonderful week friend. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteHi Diane,
ReplyDeleteGood heavens, by the time I got here, we're well into July.
How nice to have relatives come over from Sweden!
I can so relate to the poem. My old enchanted garden was full of magical fairies and other wee folks.
Thank you for this, Diane.
Gary :)
