Happy Mother's Day to all the Mom's out there!
Whether you're a Mom, Stepmom, Surrogate Mom or Pet Mom ....
I wish you the happiest day ever!
My own dear Mother has been gone for over 20 years now, this is the last card that I gave to her. It's a lovely three dimensional card by Hallmark. As is with most of their cards the artist is not credited. It is a very pretty watercolor of wild roses, daisies and forget-me-nots and some other assorted flora. The little bluebirds add a bit more whimsey to this pretty card.
The sentiment on the card is an old one but still holds true...
"God could not be everywhere and therefore He made Mothers."
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
See you soon!

Diane, this is a gorgeous card and the flower is lovely! Happy Mother's Day to you!
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda, I don't have children except for the four legged and furry kind. They are really terrible about bringing me breakfast in bed... but they do like to cuddle!
DeleteIf you can't be sentimental on Mother's Day, when can you?
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that you have the last card. Beautiful, tribute of the love you shared. Hope your day is special. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThat is so special. I think it's wonderful you have the card...what a cherished memento it is for you...loving memories it represents.
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day Diane! What a beautiful card for your mom. I think it's so special, that you still have it! Just to let you know, we are far away from the fires, but we do have relatives there. They have not been evacuated. We are hoping, the area they are in, they don't have to! Let's pray, rain comes there soon for the people! It is such a tragedy! Big Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry that you lost your mother. The final card you gave her is absolutely beautiful ♥ Happy Mother's Day to you.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty card and I love the words on the front. Your mom must have been really pleased with it.
ReplyDeleteMother’s Day is earlier in the year in England. For us it’s a day to visit Terry’s mum (now in her 88th year), and to take flowers to put on my mum's grave. As you know, our son is in Australia, so I don’t see him on Mother’s Day, but I always hear from him.
Happy Mother’s Day. xx
The card you gave your mom many years ago is sweet and holds special memories for you. The daisies caught my eye, as I just planted some in my garden. I hope you had a very nice Mother's Day, Diane.
