My lovely black cat, Guy Noir, in the spooky image below, wants to remind you to support your local animal shelter by adopting a black cat. Black cats are always some of the last ones adopted and are in need of loving homes. If you're not able to adopt, then donate to your local animal shelter!

If a real black cat is not an option for you, how about one of these decorative types?
Here are some great Black Cat items from a few sellers on Etsy. Click on the images below that you like and the link will take you to the Etsy listing for the item.

Thank you for visiting!
Remember to hug your black cat today.... and every day! And Guy wants to also remind you to buy plenty of treats and toy mice for your kitties too!
Have a great week! See you soon!

Guy Noir is so magnificent, but of course, you know that! :) I hold a special place in my heart for black kitties. A little over a year ago, husband and I had to have our black Maine Coon Kitty Otis laid to rest. He had kidney failure at 17. We loved him so very much. A gorgeous boy with stunning green eyes who we adopted from the local shelter when he was about a year old. He'd been abandoned. My heart misses him every day... Give your Guy a hug from me?
ReplyDeleteMy dear Mary... I understand your pain... I too had a black kitty before Guy, his name was Cocoa and he lived for 18 years and suffered the same fate as your sweet Otis. It took almost 3 years before I thought about adopting another black cat... but it was meant to be, as Guy was an unwanted farm kitten. Guy is my sweet baby and brings me joy every day! My heart goes out to you in mourning your dear Otis, I'm sure he knew how much he was loved. Hugging my little Guy right now as he has draped himself across my arms while I'm typing this! :)
DeleteI LOVE black cats. We have one that we adopted from the local humane society on January 2, 2010; right when the New Year arrived. She is the best cat I've ever had; sweet, talkative, social and wonderfully quirky. Black cats are very special and it is disturbing (and ridiculous) how much stigma surrounds them. It's time we moved beyond all that and embraced these magnificent animals.
ReplyDeleteGuy Noir is so handsome and photogenic! And I enjoyed seeing that copy of Walter Farley's "The Black Stallion" between the bookends -- that's the exact edition of the book I read when I was an adolescent! Thanks for the trip down memory lane. P.S. Love your seasonal header too!
ReplyDeleteGuy is adorable!!! He is indeed very photogenic, what a great model! I love the music in your posts and all the things you are sharing here are lovely, and your header is beautiful! :)
ReplyDeleteSo many cuties, but guy noir is definitely the cutest! I used to have a black cat, Custer, who was adopted. He looked similar to your guy, and was a real character. :)
ReplyDeleteGuy looks like he is so well loved friend. Loved seeing him as well as all your sweet black kitty finds. I have a tuxedo kitty Scooter but years ago had two black kitties - Tootsie and Sheba. Loved them both. Hope you are having a delightful fall day. Hugs dear!
ReplyDeleteI adore them all, especially the brooch. I hope you're well and have a lovely day!
ReplyDeleteThank you all for visiting! I love reading your comments and Guy Noir will be getting plenty of hugs today (and every day)!
DeleteI adore them all too, especially the invitation card. Guy Noir is as adorable as every. Happy Halloween xx
ReplyDeleteAww! I love black cats - we have a black one and a black and white one. Lovely guys, both from the rescue shelter.
