Have a wonderful weekend!

"The grass and flowers looked as though fresh-washed by summer showers, and not a single blade was any color but the brightest green. The air was soft and balmy, though invigorating; and instead of sunlight there was a golden and rosy glory everywhere; something like the afterglow of a Southern sunset in midsummer."

This is such a wonderful time of year. Your garden is magnificent! So lovely, as is that quote :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE those little purple flowers in the first 2 pics.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind words about Tiger Lily. And you're right. They really are a part of the family, especially when you've had them for so long.

I love them also, mainly for their fragrance. They are called heliotrope and are an old fashioned flower. The fragrance of this plant is an intoxicating vanilla-spiced-fruit scent that is most noticeable in the morning and early evening. I believe that the name means "facing the sun". I have them in a container next to a garden bench, so I can enjoy the scent.
DeleteThey're all gorgeous, but those lilies especially! And you have such nice music on this blog!
ReplyDeleteYour garden flowers are gorgeous. All that colour really emphasizes the beauty of summer.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos of beautiful flowers, Diane. xo
ReplyDeleteThank you for your nice comments! ~Diane~
ReplyDeleteOh Diane, your flowers are spectacular. We are in the middle of a cold winter but glorious when the sun appears. I've lost my blogging mojo - don't know how you do it but I love it when I visit your blog, hoping for inspiration to fall upon me so I can blog once again. I love a perfumed garden. TFS
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blooms - is there anything cheerier than gorgeous flowers?
