We have been waiting all winter for some real snow. We finally got it.
First we had rain, then sleet, then snow.
Here are a few pictures for some quiet reflection.

The
Angels Know
The snow is lightly falling to earth
from heaven above
wrapping around the old spruce tree like a
gentle hug of love
The Angels wake and shake the snow from
off their golden wings
and If you listen closely you may just hear them sing.
Among the twinkling stars they watch us all
down here below
They sing a song of patience - for this
is what they know.
The Secrets of the Future are Held Beneath the Snow.

Beautiful shots - I always love snow (and we got a little today too).
ReplyDeletebeautiful!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pictures - they are just like fairyland. Did you write the poem yourself - it is beautiful. I especially love the last line - it gives such a wonderful image of the re-birth of Spring!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sharon! Yes I did write the poem a few years ago in my journal after a beautiful day of watching the snow fall onto the spruce tree in our front yard. I am so glad you got it, sometimes I'm not always sure my words are projecting the right picture! But yes, it is all about the re-birth of Spring and Life in general!
DeleteI got goosebumps when I read the last line. It captures that idea so perfectly! It made the poem even more special when I realised you must have written it yourself.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photographs and lovely words, thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteLove photos! It is amazing. I really love each one of them. Excellent post!
