Autumnal Beauty

We love the beauty that the changing seasons bring here in the northern United States. It has been a busy week for me but I couldn't pass up the Pinning and Singing link up when I found out the theme was Autumn/Fall. Here are just a few of my favorites from Pinterest. Yes, we are pinning and singing again. My song selection is by the wonderful Frank Sinatra. Hope you enjoy your time here today!

These are some colorful leaves on my Juneberry shrub. They are also sometimes called Serviceberries.

Gorgeous Velvet Pumpkins!

Frank Sinatra "When the Wind Was Green"
Frank covers every season in this one, but it is on his album September of My Years, so I thought it was a great fit. Love Frank! Update!!! Sorry this link is no longer available on YouTube.  Go to the link above to hear a sample on Amazon.

Apple Cupcakes! So Cute!

Peaches don't grow well here, we will leave that to you folks in Georgia. We do grow some mighty fine apples though! Below is a new apple called Sweetango, derived from the Honeycrisp apple.

The Honeycrisp apple was developed at the University of Minnesota Horticultural Research Center and released in 1991.

  9. Thank you all for stopping bye and leaving your comments. I am happy you liked my pins! I too just love those apple cupcakes, such a creative idea! Every season has it's own special beauty, but I must say my favorites are Spring and Autumn. I love winter too, especially around Christmas. Deidre, I understand a little about what you are going through. Seasonal changes can be difficult to adjust to. Years ago we moved to California, and I thought it would be wonderful to escape the cold and snow. When Christmas rolled around and there was no "winter", no snow, I found that I missed it so much I could barely stand it! Eventually we moved back to the Midwest and my dreams of a white Christmas were fulfilled! ~Diane

  12. You found some really beautiful autumn scenes. It is hard to believe it will be October soon. Of course we are still having eighty degree weather so fall is still a few weeks away for us.
