The last couple of days have seemed so fall like, that I rushed to get my camera so I could capture a few more of these end of season blooms. The phlox is starting to fade and the day lilies are already done now. I will still have a few new photos in September of some really late bloomers, but the end of the growing season is near. These are photos of my garden and two of my best friends. The two girls, Dotty and Ginny, my little garden helpers. Some of you may remember my post about the
bumblebees, there are two photos of the upside-down wood planter that is their home for now. For more wonderful blogs and photos on animals and gardens check out

Thank you all for visiting my blog and my garden today. I love to hear from you so please share your comments.
Nice shots - I love the cats. Does Dotty ever look anything other than cute?
ReplyDeleteHa! Dotty can be quite a little brat! But I guess she is always cute! ;)
ReplyDeleteWelcome to PicStory! Thanks for joining us with this lovely cats :) I like also the flowers. A very nice garden. :)
ReplyDeleteThat morning glory is gorgeous! Does your cat walk on leash?
ReplyDeleteYes Amanda, she will lead me around the yard on her leash. She is not so good about following me. We adopted her from the animal shelter two years ago. She was a run away or abandoned, so we are trying to get her trained. She is also a hunter and has caught voles in the garden, even on her leash, so I can't imagine what would happen to all my birds if she was to run free. For her and my birds, she stays on her leash for now. She actually is quite good about it. `Diane

Wow, it seems to me the bees really moved up in the world with their new hive!!!
ReplyDeleteThat was very ingenius and very kind of you. The bees repaid you by pollenating all of your beautiful flowers!!
It was a win/win for everyone.
My bumblebees are still happily working, in a few weeks the queen and a few other specialized bees will hibernate in the ground over the winter. They will emerge next spring and start a new hive. Pretty amazing little creatures!
ReplyDeleteCatching up on your posts. Garden pretty and kitties are so cute. Thanks for the recipes. Will have to try.
